By George, it's Walmart!

Last week I, along with other bloggers, was invited to savvy shop the styles at Walmart's in-house brand George
I know what you're thinking, the gal that takes the art of dressing up to new heights is now shopping at mass retailer discount giant?? Yeppers, you best believe it!

I couldn't get over the choices: leopard-print maxi dresses, borrowed-from-the-boys denim shirt, and hipster shoes galore!

Check out my pics, I dare you not to luv!

My fellow shopping buddies

Samantha (Tam+Sam), Marie-Pier (Les Carnets Mode), Josianne (Ton petit look), Audrwey (Jeans et Stilettos)

The commercial really drives the notion that the line has had a makeover.

I heart Norwegian Wood

Winsome designer Angie Johnson aka Ms. Norwegian Wood (seen below with white vest), called up some of her fashion friends to showcase her S/S2011 accessories line. Luckily, I was amongst the creative collaborators which we self-styled and wore her gems to our fancy. Shot by Sebastien Roy, the fellow models are no other than darling stylist Melanie Brisson, designer Dane Richards and Max-Otto Fauteux.

Gap Summer 2011 collection

The first day of spring in Montreal it snowed. Not surprising as freakish weather is our climate's norm. I however counteracted the unwelcome snowflakes by shopping for flirty frocks and buy-now-wear-later items.

Having previewed the Gap's Summer 2011 collection last month, I headed to their downtown location and was dizzy with joy from all the fashionable finds.
What's more, currently all their discounted stock is at an additional 25 percent rebate. I say: "Please and Thank You!!!"

I'll be posting my latest fave look that I found at Gap this week, but in the mean time, check out the images from the Escape Summer collection.
Since joining in 2007, Creative Director Patrick Robinson has done a great job in improving the design and image of the Gap with clean, cool and effortless lines season after season.

For Summer 2011, the collection consists of flowy maxi dresses, sophisticated sheer blouses, soft chambrays, super soft premium denim and relaxed city suits.

Chanel Coco Mademoiselle commercial ad

Spring has sprung! What better way to celebrate the new flourishing season by donning a feminine fragrance.

Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel launches their new ad with a fashion commercial unveiled today.
Directed by Joe Wright and featuring muse Keira Knightley, the ad presents the sweet starlet looking like the Evil Knievel of style as she goes biker babe in a plush catsuit with iconic black-tipped booties.

Feminine, liberated, sensual, modern, timeless- the promotional video reflects the olfactory notes of the Coco Mademoiselle Eau de Parfum scent of Sicilian orange, Jasmine absolute, and Indonesian Patchouli.

To create this sweet concoction, Chanel's nose Jacques Polge was inspired by "A woman in love who is in charge. A bold woman passionate about freedom. A playful woman of communicative enthusiasm. A seductress who radiates youth."

If you haven't thus far, you should visit the new Chanel beauty space at The Bay's downtown flagship location.
Here's a glimpse from the launch last February.

The event we call Fab Femmes

Wow! Wow! Wow! I'm still in awe over our shopping event Fab Femmes hosted to celebrate Women's Day which I created with blogger Marjorie
I'm not married but I gather that the prep and planning for a wedding must be similar to our one-day extravaganza. So much emotion and passion fueled into one day and then, pouf! It's over before you know it!!

It was delightful and such a treat to see the fruits of our labour reap so many warm smiles and joy from our special guests.

We couldn't have done it without the help of many that I must show gratitude.
Hotel Chez Swann for providing the magical space.
Marcelle for their generous products offered in the goodie bag- and what a goodie it was!
Hush Puppies for the lovely shoes provided!
Clin d'Oeil mag for their April green special issue.
Energi PR for the gifts of Gillette Venus razors.
Portez Blank for sponsoring the Tees worn by our team and gift certificates for our guest.
Liquid Nutrition for their free smoothies coupons.
Givenchy for offering four lucky guests a limited edition Very Irresistible perfume.
J bouJ boutique for the mannequins displaying Mosaik Montreal's looks.

This event would not have runned as smoothly without the meticulouness and hard work of our production coordinators 2Republic- thanks a million Marie and Erica!!
A special mention to our lovely volunteers from LaSalle College that served our guest with grace.

Last but not least, thanks to all the vendors that enthusiastically joined our inaugural event and quite frankly without them we would not have had our shopping shindig!!!
