The Festival Mode et Design de Montréal launches today and the city is definitely in for a treat. A fab four-day celebration, the festivities are a fashion and culture enthusiast's dream! With a myriad of showcases, there's something for the runway gawkers, music lovers, and art aficionados.

Wednesday, August 1.

LES BANCS PUBLICS

After installations in San Fran, Amsterdam, and Berlin, six artists are using Montreal's urban landscape by creating works of art using the city's public benches. A window to showcase our talent, it's a true vision of  democratizing design to the masses as the creations are incorporated into the daily metropolitan life.

I love everything this woman does! Style icon and host of Fashion Television, Jeanne Beker has created a line, found at The Bay, for women seeking the "perfect fashion pieces". You will not want to miss this special show. 

COLLECTIF: 5 BLOGEURS, 5 LOOKS

6:15PM, Select Stage

Shameless plug alert! 5 Montreal bloggers Duc C. Nguyen, Gaëlle Leroyer, Mélodie Wronski, Sophie BT, and myself!, will have carte blanche to create a collective fashion show reflecting our personal artistic vision.

Something for the gents: luxe and dandy french line Eden Park will showcase the wardrobe for the urban man.

Celebrating their 25th anniversary - Bravo! - the leather goods and outerwear brand as become a Montreal heritage. Positioning itself as a design house, it now has points-of-sales in 35 countries. 

GLAMANIA

9:30PM, Main Stage

Styled by UNTTLD duo José Manuel and Simon Bélanger, Glamania is a celebration of sartorial shimmer. Spotlight designers: Denis Gagnon, Dubuc, Duy, Helmer, and MARTIN LIM.

DRESSING ROOM

10PM, Main Stage

Merging fashion and dance, acclaimed choreographer Noemie LaFrance creates a fanfare set in  rhythmic motion. It will have our toes tapping!
